At Our Arab Heritage, we respect your privacy and work to protect the information shared with us when you browse, shop, create an account, apply to sell, or contact our team. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the limited ways it may be shared to operate the marketplace.
Information we collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address, and account details when you sign up or use your account.
- Order, checkout, and shipping information, including items purchased, shipping details, checkout information, and order-related updates needed to run the marketplace.
- Support information, including messages, photos, and order details you share when you contact us about an order or issue.
- Seller application information, such as store details, cultural background, and product information shared when applying to sell.
- Usage data, such as basic analytics about how visitors navigate and interact with the site.
How we use customer and order data
- To support order fulfillment and delivery coordination.
- To respond to customer support questions and order issues.
- To help prevent fraud, abuse, and security problems.
- To operate and improve the marketplace experience.
- To meet legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations.
Marketplace fulfillment and seller access
When an order includes an item from an independent seller, OAH may share the minimum necessary order and shipping information with the specific seller responsible for fulfilling that item or order.
Seller access is limited to the orders and items that belong to that seller's profile. Sellers do not receive broad access to other sellers' orders or unrelated customer information.
How we do not use customer data
- We do not sell customer personal data.
- We do not use buyer shipping or customer data for advertising.
- We do not allow seller access to buyer information beyond what is needed to support fulfillment and order-related support.
Service providers and marketplace tools
Checkout and payment processing are handled through Shopify and payment providers. We also use service providers such as Shopify, Clerk, Supabase, Vercel, and email providers to operate the marketplace and support marketplace workflows.
These providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services for OAH.
